Goals for 2014

The new year is quickly approaching (so is Christmas, but I’m not done shopping and planning so can we not talk about that, thanks.) and it’s time to set sine goals for 2014. I don’t want to be too crazy, I’m not going to run 2000 miles next year.

I’ve signed up for/have firm plans for:
-Disney Princess Half Marathon (February)
-OKC Memorial Half Marathon (April)
-Dumbos Double Dare (August)

Should I add another race or 2?

I want to set a total number of miles. Since I’ll be “in training” for a good portion of the year I’m thinking 500 is doable.

I want to finish OKC in 2:15 or less. I only need to shave off 3 minutes, and if the weather is only 10 degrees warmer, I think it could happen.

So far that’s my plans. I’d love input on running related goals.

Maybe instead of miles you make it a goal to run X many days next year? That way, you don’t have the pressure of logging the miles – you just need to get out and go for a run.
