Homemade Larabar

I had my first Larabar after my run on Saturday.  It was pretty good, great for before or after a workout.  Great snack for school.  I found a recipe for homemade Larabars, and thought…why not?

I will let you look at the link above for pictures-my food pictures are pretty horrible. I made Cashew Cookie and Cherry (and other berries) pie. I made smaller bars, because they pretty calorie dense (nuts!).  I have made a list of other ingredients I need for other bars–apricot almond, PB&J, Peanut Butter cookie!

One thing I did differently-I bought prechopped dates, because that was all I could find (I am still looking for whole dates) and they were really dry. I soaked then in warm water for 10-20 minutes and puffed them up a little, and it worked like a charm. Since I had the dates soaking, I through in my dried berries (couldn’t find cherries either, I only went to one store). I am not big on measuring (except when baking) so I just sort of eye balled everything.
