Training Schedule

I have had problems trying to find a free training schedule for a half marathon.  So many places want to charge quite a bit of money to tell you how far to run on what days to train for a half marathon (marathon, 10K, etc.).  I found a certain place in Tulsa that charges $75 for half marathon training.  Luckily, I got an email from Runner’s World Tulsa about their FREE training The Route 66 Half and Full Marathon.  They provide a schedule, routes, and coaching.  HERE is a link to the Beginner Half Marathon Training.  There are links are the Runner’s World Tulsa website for different levels, and for both half and full.

Each week consists of 4 running days, 2 cross training days and 1 rest day.  We increase our long runs gradually, and short runs are to be about 3-4 miles.
